First show lessons learned

Lessons learned from the first show

  1. Try to scope out the venue before paying the entry fee. Sharing space with a tree can be a real pain.
  2. Try to get a feel for attendance. Noticed a lot of open spaces in this year's Roswell festival and long-time exhibitors at Arts on the River mentioned the low attendance for this year. If anybody sold a lot of stuff I didn't find out about it. Didn't see a lot of people walking away with bundles.
  3. Have plenty of low cost items available for the impulse buyer.
  4. Presentation is important. 
  5. Our prototype, low-buck booth worked well. Unfortunately, it looked like a prototype.
  6. A booth needs to be configurable to suit the environment and traffic pattern.
