The foliage has many openings to admit light and air. Some artists call these "sky holes," as in "remember to leave holes for the birds to fly through."
So I call this painting "Sky Holes." Hope you enjoy it.

In praise of simplicity Acrylic paint is wonderful stuff. I've enjoyed working with it. I'm setting it aside for a while, in favor of the simplicity and directness of paper and pencil. Tape a paper to a drawing board, pick up a pencil and you're ready to go. At any point, just set the pencil down and take a break, for as long as you like. The paper and pencil will wait for your return, ready to go on as before.
